Witness one of Bali's most magical sunrises from the top of Mount Batur — without the long hike. This private experience takes you to the summit in a 4x4 Jeep before dawn, where you'll enjoy a peaceful morning above the clouds, followed by a light breakfast and a soak in volcanic hot springs.

Your private driver will pick you up early in the morning and take you directly to the base of Mount Batur. From there, your personal 4x4 Jeep and guide will take you off-road all the way to the summit — no trekking required. Once at the top, relax and take in panoramic views as the sun rises over the mountains and lake below.

After sunrise, descend to explore the otherworldly black lava fields of Mount Batur — a dramatic volcanic landscape shaped by past eruptions. Wander among the solidified lava formations and capture stunning photos before heading to the famous Batur Natural Hot Springs, where you can unwind and recharge in mineral-rich waters overlooking the lake and volcano before your drive back to your hotel.

Do I need to hike to reach the sunrise viewpoint?

No hiking required! The tour is entirely by private Jeep, taking you all the way to the sunrise viewpoint with minimal physical effort. It's perfect for those who want the Mount Batur sunrise experience without the early-morning trek.

Is it a private tour or will we join a group?

This is a private tour. You'll enjoy the experience with your own driver for your group only. Each 4x4 Jeep accommodates up to 3 guests max.

What should I bring for the tour?

We recommend bringing a warm jacket or sweater (it can be chilly before sunrise), comfortable shoes, and a camera for photos. If you're visiting the hot springs, don't forget your swimsuit and towel.

Is hotel pickup and drop-off included?

Pickup and drop-off are not included by default, but can be added as an extra during booking. Alternatively, you can make your own way to the Mount Batur basecamp to meet your guide directly.

How long does the tour last, and what does it include?

The tour lasts approximately 6-8 hours including transfers. It includes: a private 4x4 Jeep ride, an off-road drive through the black lava fields, a light breakfast at the summit (banana pancakes, eggs, toast, coffee or tea), an English-speaking guide, optional hot springs visit, and optional hotel pickup/drop-off.

What happens if the weather is cloudy or rainy?

The tour still runs in most weather conditions. While sunrise visibility may vary, the off-road adventure, black lava fields, and optional hot springs still offer a memorable experience.
